Why
PayBox?
The most critical
facet of electronic commerce on the Internet is security. Customers are
spending more and more money on-line, but they require constant
reassurance that their transactions are secure, that their credit
information is safe. PayBox makes all efforts to protect transaction
data and to create the level of comfort desired by your customers. They
will not divulge all of our security measures, but they will provide you
with some common information about the security of our system. All
aspects of our system have been thoroughly investigated and certified by
4 different banks' security personnel over the past two years.
Is PayBox web server secure?
Yes. PayBox uses
Netscape Enterprise Server using SSL (secure socket layering) encryption
for secure exchange of data between your customers and the PayBox
system. The system supports both 40bit and 128bit SSL encryption on
virtually all browsers.
Does PayBox use a Proxy Firewall?
Yes. The PayBox
transaction system resides behind a dedicated Black Hole Firewall
running on redundant Solaris based Sun servers. This protects the PayBox
transaction system and the data passing through.
Are my Credit Card numbers saved?
No. The PayBox
transaction system sends credit card information through its system, but
does not retain any credit card numbers. Once the transaction is
completed, transaction's information (without card numbers) is stored in
our SQL database. Only in our offline and offsite accounting server do
we retain the entire transaction record. The PayBox server provides zero
target for potential hackers.
Does your system ask for my Credit Card numbers?
No. The nature of the
PayBox system means that you never need to ask your client for their
credit card information. Only PayBox receives this information. This
removes your concerns as customer regarding security of the credit card
numbers after fulfilling the transaction.
What happens on PayBox?
Once PayBox receives
all required information from you, the transaction process is carried
out with banks using private digital lines and not backing out over the
Internet.
What about PayBox Risk Management System?
The PayBox
transaction system provides many other elements of security and risk
management as part of basic service including protection against
fraudulent credit card number generators, 'Web Page Hacking' to alter
prices, redundant accidental transactions, and much more. Our methods
combine the best of traditional electronic transaction security, the
most sophisticated TCP/IP network and Internet Web security, and a
customized extended security and risk management suite built on our
experience. No other real time Internet processing system offers our
levels of consumer and merchant comfort. |
